Desirée Feldmann investiga o conceito de vida em sua amplitude material e simbólica, explorando suas dinâmicas através do tecido – não apenas como matéria têxtil, mas como um campo de forças que articula corpo, cor, textura e espacialidade. Seu trabalho transita entre escultura, instalação e imagem expandida, propondo dispositivos nos quais camadas vibrantes de cor e matéria se sobrepõem, acumulam e se transformam.
A artista se apropria de processos formais e saberes tradicionais e ancestrais de manufatura, criando estruturas que se aproximam tanto da organicidade dos sistemas vivos quanto dos fluxos e ritmos da natureza. Em suas obras, o gesto pictórico extrapola a superfície plana e se sedimenta no espaço, assim como as diferentes camadas geológicas que narram a história da Terra. O encontro entre o familiar e o estranho se dá no jogo de profundidades e transparências, onde formas se multiplicam e se desdobram umas dentro das outras.
Sua trajetória interdisciplinar – da moda ao design, da estamparia à pesquisa material – atravessa sua produção artística, evidenciando um pensamento em constante construção. Suas exposições incluem Feral - arte têxtil no DF (2024), no Museu Correios de Brasília; 52º Salão de Artes Contemporânea de Piracicaba (2023); 28º Salão de Artes de Vinhedo (2022) e o Projeto GAS para novos artistas (2024), promovido pela Galeria Anita Schwartz. Foi premiada no 20º Território da Arte de Araraquara (2023) e participou das residências AMBOS Mundos Epecuén, na Argentina (2023), e da 3ª Residência Artística Luis Maluf (2024).

Desirée Feldmann investigates the concept of life in its material and symbolic breadth, exploring its dynamics through fabric—not only as a textile medium, but as a field of forces that articulates body, color, texture, and spatiality. Her work moves between sculpture, installation, and expanded image, proposing devices in which vibrant layers of color and matter overlap, accumulate, and transform.
The artist draws on formal processes and traditional and ancestral knowledge of craftsmanship, creating structures that evoke both the organicity of living systems and the flows and rhythms of nature. In her works, the pictorial gesture goes beyond the flat surface and settles into space, much like the different geological layers that narrate the Earth's history. The encounter between the familiar and the strange emerges in the play of depths and transparencies, where forms multiply and unfold within one another.
Her interdisciplinary path—from fashion to design, from printmaking to material research—permeates her artistic practice, revealing a thought process in constant construction. Her exhibitions include Feral – Textile Art in the Federal District (2024), at Museu Correios in Brasília; 52nd Contemporary Art Salon of Piracicaba (2023); 28th Vinhedo Art Salon (2022); and the GAS Project for Emerging Artists (2024), promoted by Galeria Anita Schwartz. She was awarded at the 20th Território da Arte de Araraquara (2023) and participated in the AMBOS Mundos Epecuén residency in Argentina (2023), as well as the 3rd Luis Maluf Artistic Residency (2024).
